Does LastPass have trackers?

As serval researchers admit there is a potential threaten related to discovered trackers in LastPass. The Exodus report presents 7 trackers in the LastPass mobile application dedictaed for Android.

In LastPass mobile app were captured followed trackers:

• AppsFlyer
• Google Analytics
• Google CrashLytics
• Google Firebase Analytics
• Google Tag manager
• MixPanel
• Segment

Should trackers be present in such tool responsible for sensitive data?

Definitely not, such data collectors are not necessary for the application. What is more it’s a bad practice for a security type of app which store sensitive informations.

The informations about the location etc. should not be relevant to track using 3rd party code from providers mentioned above and can bring potential security vulnerabilities.
